Introduction

The workshop, "Hot Lights, Cold Steel" was a workshop where we read
the book Hot Lights, Cold Steel written by Micheal Collins. Throughout
the workshop, we shared our favorite parts of each chapter and had guests
from Theda Care Orthopedics Plus come in and talk about their work, how
they got where they are now, and how they can relate to the author of the
book.

Essay

After finishing Hot Lights, Cold Steel, we were assigned to write about
something that stuck out to us in each of the four sections of the book.

Field Trip to Theda Care Orthopedics Plus

Theda Care Orthopedics Plus invited the class of Hot Lights Cold Steel
to have a tour of their building located in AMC in Appleton. We talked
to orthopedic surgeons, physicals therpists, physician's assistants,
and the many other members who contribute and make up Theda Care
Orthopedics Plus. We had the opportunity to see the doctor's offices,
x-ray room, and the operating room along with the equipments orthopedic
surgeons use. It was a fun experience and I definitely enjoyed it!
